Terms and conditions

Last updated: 24 May 2026

By creating an account or using Embers ("the Service") you agree to these terms.

Not therapy or medical care

Embers is a self-reflection and journaling companion. It is not therapy, medical advice, diagnosis or crisis support. AI reflections are automatically generated and can be wrong. If you're in crisis or worried about your safety, please contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional. See our safety page.

Your account

Your content

You own the reflections, journal entries, and other content you create. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service to you. See ourPrivacy Policy for how AI processing works.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the Service. No unlawful activity, no attempts to disrupt or reverse-engineer it, and no using it to harm others.

Early access

Embers is currently in early access and free to use while we shape it with the people who use it. We may introduce paid plans in future. If we do, we'll tell you clearly before any charge applies and you'll have the choice to continue or stop. Nothing here commits you to a subscription today.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Embers.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
